Who we are

We’re a local nonprofit that focuses on raising awareness that even the things we throw away can be repurposed for greater good.

We partner up with local schools here in Jefferson County to repurpose Lost and Found items by distributing them through local shelters, refugee families entering the country as well as orphanages overseas.

PARTNERING WITH US Trash into Treasure is always very grateful to our partners because if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have the means to run our ministry. We like to view our partnership as a two way street: ONE We work hard to collect donated items and to distribute them to those in need. Our volunteers have shared that meaningful work brings joy and dignity to what they do. TWO We raise awareness in the local community through schools and personal relationships that even items that we consider as trash can be turned into treasure.
